OSMO in the classroom

In my opinion OSMOS is a fun program to open the minds of young students to introduce them to the world of art, words and shapes. But as children get older the world of colorful shpaes is no longer enclosed to six or seven shapes. If you give first graders more then 7 shapes they go wild with their imagination to make any sort of picture from flowers to gardens or even cookies!

Drawing is something I am unfamiliar with so when I used masterpiece it was nice to see the outcome of my drawing, but it was hard to look at my fingers move on the screen when I feel I should have been looking at my hands and the paper in front of me. I could see how this could be fun for an elementary student to learn how to draw watching your hand do all the work.
